New Crescent International Travels Limited Holds Seminar for Hajj Pilgrims Departing May 25

…Urges Pilgrims to Exercise Patience and Adhere to Rules in Saudi Arabia

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of New Crescent International Travels Limited, Alhaji Sanni Abduljabar, has appealed to Nigerian pilgrims embarking on this year’s Hajj exercise to prepare themselves with patience and discipline while in Saudi Arabia.

He made this appeal during a seminar organized for pilgrims under the agency, held at Ajao Estate, Lagos State. The seminar was aimed at educating participants on the procedures and various stages of the Hajj exercise in Mecca and Medina.

Alhaji Abduljabar explained that the seminar was necessary to enlighten the pilgrims on the spiritual and practical aspects of Hajj, especially in light of new rules introduced by the Saudi authorities, particularly in the area of transportation, which is now being centrally managed.

He emphasized that those undertaking the pilgrimage are answering the call of Allah, and that financial status is not always a prerequisite for divine selection.

The Managing Director disclosed that pilgrims with New Crescent International Travels Limited are scheduled to depart Nigeria on May 25th and 27th, and return on June 12th and 16th.

While addressing the pilgrims, Ustaz Oyebo Abdulsemiu urged them to exercise patience and perseverance as they prepare to join millions of faithful already in Saudi Arabia. He noted that the Hajj is a deeply spiritual and challenging journey, where even Allah will test their patience.

He advised the pilgrims to remain calm and understanding, even if some arrangements—such as meals or accommodation—fall short of expectations.

Ustaz Abdulsemiu, one of the clerics assigned to the group, also emphasized the importance of obeying instructions during Tawaf, as it involves performing rituals simultaneously with millions of other worshippers.

He warned against straying from the group or following friends in Mecca or Medina, to avoid getting lost.

He also urged pilgrims to be patient with one another, as they will be sharing rooms with people from different backgrounds and character traits.

According to him, the reward for a well-conducted Hajj is paradise. He noted that while the best Ihram for women is black, any modest attire that fully covers the body is acceptable. For male pilgrims, he explained that Allah prescribed two white garments to be worn with proper etiquette and decorum.

He encouraged pilgrims to strive to observe as many prayers as possible at the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, as it carries immense spiritual reward.

Over 100 pilgrims from New Crescent International Travels Limited participated in the seminar, where they also received vaccinations and necessary medical care.

About 65,000 Nigerians are expected to participate in this year’s Hajj, which is the fifth and final pillar of Islam.
