Lagos CP Tactical Team Arrests Notorious Serial Killers in Surulere

The superior arms of the Commissioner of Police’s Tactical detectives in Lagos have catched up with three notorious serial murderers in the metropolis who assassinated a Lagos based business woman recently.
The gruesome murderers who are leant to have been terrorising Surulere and other parts Lagos State were apprehended by the detectives, just two weeks after the killing of a 50 year-old business woman.
It was exclusively gathered that the trio of Ihesie Uchenna, 27, Adeleke Abiodun, 32, and Anthony Chinonso David, 27 were arrested over the alleged heinous crime by police detectives attached to the CP Tactical Team, Charle, Surulere led by SP Sunday Cirman.
Authoritative source revealed that the suspects were arrested at their various hideouts in Surulere area of the State, in a painstaking and intelligence led operations.
According to source, the 50 year old business woman, named Abiodun Awonaike Adeola, was murdered in her apartment at 153B, Akerele Extension, Surulere on 21st October, 2024 at about 10am.
Confirming the incident, a family member of the victim revealed that the suspects invaded the apartment, when her youngest child named Tumininu, who is residing with her stepped out, tied her hands, legs, cellotaped her mouth, strangled her to death and carted away her mobile phone and a Toyota Camry car.
Immediately the case was incident, the tactical detectives swung into action and the suspects were arrested separately on 30th, 31st October and 2nd of November, 2024.
It was reliably gathered that the ringleader of the syndicate, identified as Anthony Chinonso David, recruited the other suspects and led the operation, leading to the death of the mother of two.
Family source also informed our correspondent that the operation was so successful based on the pre- knowledge of the compound by the ringleader, whose mother had lived with the deceased previously.
However, the Police source disclosed to our correspondent that the suspects have confessed to the crime and assisting the detectives in further investigation.
Speaking with our correspondent, the eldest child of the deceased Adeyinka Oketunde applauded the detectives for the intelligence deployed and rapidity in apprehending the suspects.
He described his mother as a gentle, easy going and a peace loving woman, adding that she sent him a prayer message, which he was yet to reply to on the same day she was assassinated.
According to him, “My name is Adeyinka Oketunde, am 26 years old and the first child of the deceased. My mother was murdered on the 21st of October, 2024 and I reported the matter to the police. She was murdered in her apartment at Akerele Extension, her legs and hands tied.and her mouth taped”.
“I didn’t have any premonition about her death because she didn’t have quarel with any body, we still spoke the same day in the morning and she sent me a prayer message, which I haven’t replied.
“I have the believe that the police did a job because I know one of the suspects who happens to be the son of my mother’s friend that was squatting with my mother and the son. The suspects made away with her phone and her car. The phone has been recovered remaining the car. All I want now is justice for my mother”.
Also, a reliable source who prayed anonymous revealed that the arrest of the suspects will eventually bring peace to Surulere area and its environs as residents will sleep better, “because the tension created by these boys are too much and nobody dare challenge them or be bold enough to report them to security operatives”.
Efforts to get the reaction of the Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin proved abortive at the time of filling the report as his phone was not reachable.
