Governor Sanwo-Olu Approves Appointments of Mr. Femi Giwa as GM of Lagos Command Centre and Dr. Tobi Adekoya as SSA (Administration)
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointments of Mr. Femi Kennedy Giwa as the General Manager of the Lagos State Command and Control Centre, and Dr. Tobi Adekoya as Senior Special Assistant (Administration) in the Lagos State Public Service.
In Mr. Giwa’s letter of appointment, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, highlighted that his selection was based on his expertise, dedication, diligence, and selflessness in effectively and efficiently discharging his duties within the State Public Service.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Giwa served as Deputy Director and Head of the Environmental Services Consultancy Unit in the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.
Over the years, he has made significant contributions to emergency management at the state, national, regional, and international levels, earning numerous recognitions for his efforts.
The Head of Service extended his best wishes to Mr. Giwa for a rewarding and impactful tenure, noting that his appointment will take effect from Friday, October 4, 2024.
Similarly, Dr. Tobi Adekoya’s appointment as Senior Special Assistant (Administration) comes following his role as one of the pioneer fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA).
Mr. Agoro expressed confidence in Dr. Adekoya’s capabilities, citing his impressive track record, diligence, intellectual capacity, and commitment to effective service delivery in the Lagos State Public Service.
Dr. Adekoya’s appointment is set to take effect from Wednesday, October 2, 2024, and the Head of Service also wished him a rewarding and impactful tenure.
