LAGOS DSVA ENGAGES OJOKORO LCDA ON COMBATING SGBV MENACE

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency today continued its sensitization to the LGs and LCDAs in Lagos as a commitment to combating Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

Today the team was present at Ojokoro LCDA CDC’s monthly meeting to increase awareness on the SGBV scourge.

Executive Secretary Mrs. Titilola Vivour Adeniyi highlighted the crucial role of sustained awareness efforts in addressing this issues.

The CDC Chairman, Chief Alabi Olu Samuel, welcomed the team and explained to the participants the purpose of the visit.

Ms. Opemipo Ogunse, the agency’s Community Engagement Officer, briefed attendees on the activities undertaken by the Agency and reporting procedures whilst encouraging the over 350 participants to report all SGBV cases.

Information materials about SGBV were distributed, and the toll-free hotline 08000-333-333 was provided.
