Residents appeal to Sanwoolu to endorse Prince Tomiwa Odutuga as Oba elect of Odo Iragbunshi land


The chiefs, youths and citizens of odo Iragbushin in Eredo LCDA have appealed to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu to install a new Odo Iragbushi King. This is coming ten years after the stool became vacant following the death of late Oba Olawale.

During their peaceful protest to the Lagos State House of Assembly, the yalode of Odo Iragushi land, chief Rasheedat Oladega said that it is important to have a king who has the interest of the people at heart.

She called for urgent intervention and decision on the vacant obaship stool of their community ten years after.

Iyalode Oladega said further that they were in Alausa to express dismay over lack of traditional leadership in the community and to seek government’s intervention.

She therefore request for installation of the new king preferred by the community in the person of Prince Tomiwa Odutuga.

While receiving the protesters, Hon Kehinde Joseph,Hon Abiodun Tobun and Hon Sylvester Ogunkelu appealed to the community to remain calm with a promise that the House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt Hon Ajayi Mudashiru Obasa would looked into and resolve the matter,
