LASG SET TO COLLABORATE WITH OPERATORS OF EVENT CENTERS ON STRATEGIC TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY

In order to effectively manage traffic challenges around event centres and other places of social gatherings, Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have concluded all necessary arrangements to collaborate with operators/owners of event centres and other relevant stakeholders for seamless traffic flow across the State.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, disclosed this today during at a ‘Stakeholder Parley on Traffic Management and Safety at Events Centres and Places of Gathering’ held at LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

Hon. Giwa disclosed further that Government would no longer condone indiscipline on the roads as slight delay caused by indiscriminate parking results in heavy traffic congestion may take hours to ease around event centres.

“All hands must be on deck to ensure that sanity is maintained whenever there is any social gathering at event centres across Lagos metropolis.”
