DOING THE SAME THING THE SAME WAY BUT EXPECTING A DIFFERENT RESULT – ‘TUNJI ABDULHAMEED ESQ

A budget that was passed rush rush in the name of passing the budget within the budget circle date without due diligence, proper evaluation and consideration of the budget is bound to create or bring out issues that are being raised now by Senator Ningi.

Edo State Governor raised an issue regarding illegal printing of money by the then CBN, Mr. Emefiele, the Edo State Governor was shut down, called names and his claims were dismissed without any investigated.

But today Edo State Governor’s claims are now coming to pass and the same people that shut him down, condemned him or called him names are now making the same claims after the damage has been done.

Senator Ningi has raised a new concern regarding N3.7 trillion not linked or tied to any project in the 2024 budget. In the same way, he is being tagged, condemned, called names and may eventually be punished. Thus, the case would be closed and we would move on as usual. But a few years later, those who condemned him, called him names or punished him would now see reasons on what he said and by then the deed would have been done.

When issues of public importance are raised or exposed, the whistle blowers are tagged, condemned, called names and punished by those alleged with the support of the people who should be asking the same questions.

Investigation and not condemnation should be the proper approach.
