Barcelona secures 1-0 victory against Sevilla

FC Barcelona won 1-0 over Sevilla on Friday night in a thrilling encounter at the Olimpic Lluis Companys stadium.

Former Real Madrid legend, Sergio Ramos, was unlucky as Yamal’s header cannons off his leg and spins into the net.

The home team got the lead in the 76th minute.

Barcelona played Brazilian attacker, Raphinha in the middle of the park, alongside Gundogan and Gavi.

Spanish youngster, Yamal, teamed up with Felix and Lewandowski to make the front three.

Sevilla have remained unbeaten in their last four games, and recently, beat Almeria 5-1.

Team coach, Mendilibar, made two key changes to the defence lineup, as he replaced Navas and Gudelj, with Ramos and 20-year-old Sanchez, respectively.

Joao Felix got Barcelona’s first attempt in the 13th minute after he struck a shot at goal before being denied by Nyland.

Three minute after, former Barca midfielder, Ivan Rakitic, got his attempt from the edge of the box, denied by Ter Stegen.

Felix had another attempt as he hits the crossbar with a powerful shot in the 2#nd mark.

As the pressure piled up, the visitors made double changes in the 75th minute, taking off Lamela and Lukebakio, to be replaced by two defenders, Diaz and Acuna.

In a match much dominated by the home team, Barcelona extends the first position as they remain unbeaten in eight games.

Ramos, 37-year-old, and a similar face in the much-heated El Clasico, played his first game against the Catalans, after returning to his boyhood club, Sevilla.
