The leadership of the WAZOBIA Community Development Association in Coker-Aguda LCDA has called on residents to raise the alarm against those dumping refuse indiscriminately into drainage systems and canals in the area.

It stated that this warning has become necessary due to the flooding that has ravaged parts of the country, displacing residents and destroying lives and property

.

The Chairman of the Association, Pastor Andrew Biosah, issued this caution during the general meeting held on Oladimeji Street.

He emphasized that security is everyone’s responsibility and cannot be left solely to the government. He urged residents to be more vigilant in this regard.

Pastor Biosah lamented that some residents have experienced an increase in robbery attacks during the day.

He stressed that the nonchalant attitude of people thinking “it’s not my business” must stop, urging residents to be more observant.

The CDA Chairman also expressed concern that some residents refuse to pay the token charged as a security levy, despite paying high rent yearly.

Some members suggested that cart pushers and iron buyers, popularly called *Bola,* should be banned from operating in the area.

They also called on landlords and homeowners to ensure that the entrance gates to their buildings are always locked.
