Exclusive -COO of Newscentral TV, Tonye Adonye-Halliday bows out amidst retrenchment controversies
Following the sack of almost 50 staff of the Newscentral last week Monday, The Chief Operating Officer of the pan Africa station has resigned from the Station.
Our correspondent learnt that, Tonye worked into the Newsroom on monday morning and announced that, today will be her last day with News Central
The staff who were shocked beyond marrow could not hold their tears, as they described her as a great pillar to the success on NCML.
Some of them who spoke to us disclosed that, Tonye took the station from grass to grace within her 4 years as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer before she was made the COO in September, 2023 when kayode Akintenmi was appointed as Managing Director.
*We are going to miss her, she took Newscentral from nowhere to Startimes, DSTV, Limex, OHP, AVO and to the world*

She joined Newscentral in May, 2019 as Chief Financial officer, after she has had a remarkable career for herself in the Oil and Gas industry.
Tonye Adonye-Halliday has caught her teeth in the Media industry, as she is adjudged one of the best Managers in the industry.
All eyes on Kayode Akintenmi now, as he pilots the affairs of the fast rising Pan -African station
