2027 ELECTION: Tinubu will turn Nigeria to a Super Economic Power if reelected – GMT DG
The Grassroots Movement for Tinubu, GMT, has clamoured for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, for continuation of his developmental strides, that will position Nigeria as a Super Economic Power.
Director – General of GMT, Prince Bisi Yusuf, gave this position in an interview at the secretariat of the group in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
Prince Yusuf is the first elected Chairman of Ayobo Ipaja Local Council Development Area, and representative of Alimosho Constituency One at the Lagos State House of Assembly, and currently the apex leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Alimosho.
He queried the recent comment of the African Democratic Congress, ADC Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to return the fuel subsidy policy, describing its removal as the highpoint of the nation’s economic recovery.
The GMT Director General listed improved Federal Allocation to States and Local Governments, with resultant widespread developments, legacy infrastructure projects like the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway, the Nigeria Education Loan Fund among other gains of fuel subsidy removal.
Prince Yusuf pointed out that Nigeria through the ongoing reforms of the President Bola Tinubu administration was at the verge of attaining the status of advanced countries which had also experienced trying times.
He stressed that voting President Tinubu for a second term will ensure full reactivation of the economy and the citizenry will be the major beneficiaries.
Prince Yusuf charged members of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu to engage in campaigns of fundamental issues and not jamborees, urging them not to underrate any opposition candidate or party.
Prince Yusuf who declared a mobilisation target of one thousand youths per ward, stated that they have another chance to demonstrate political value by voting for President Tinubu and other candidates of the APC in the coming general election for actualisation of a nation of their dreams.
