APC Leaders in Oriade LCDA in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Welcome Adewale, Hold Strategy Talks

AHEAD of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, Apex leaders in Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, hosted House of Representatives aspirant for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, expressing goodwill and offering strategic counsel.

The meeting, which brought together key party stakeholders, described Adewale as a loyal party stalwart and grassroots mobiliser with a consistent record of political engagement and public service.

Leader of the Oriade Apex body and Joint Apex Leader of Amuwo Odofin and Oriade Federal Constituency, Hon. G.T. Olukolu former member House of Representatives, Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, who received the aspirant, noted that Adewale remains a familiar figure within the party structure and the Federal Constituency, commending his long-standing commitment to APC activities.

Other leaders present included Chief Okunu, Chief Mrs. Funmi Bakare, Hon. Ramota Akinola, Mr. Yinka Akinni, Mr. Z.A. Olayemi (JP), Alhaji Saka Ojo, Alhaji Jimoh Rasheed, Alhaji D. Jimoh, Alhaji Taiwo Bellojun, Chief Akeem Odedina, Chief Azeez Saliu, Rev. Ebijimi, Prince Ahmed, Mr. Adekoya Adekule, Hon. Sanusi Ibrahim, Mr. Adekunle Olawunmi, Prince Sabitu Hassan Abu former APC Chairman Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasak Arowolo Olojede Chairman Oriade LCDA, Hon. Akinlolu (HESSA), and Hon. Akeem Bello, among others.

In his remarks, Comrade Adewale expressed appreciation for the warm reception and highlighted his political experience and administrative background.

Comrade Adewale, a former Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, also served as Organising Secretary of the APC in Lagos State, where he played a key role in party mobilisation and administration, especially during the APC e-registration exercise, where Lagos State ranked first among the 36 states and the FCT.

He is an alumnus of Lagos State University, where he studied Chemistry and served as Students’ Union Government President at 200 level. He later emerged as National Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), marking a long history of youth and student activism.

Adewale also has a background in pro-democracy advocacy, having worked with prominent movements and figures, including the Pro-National Conference Organization (PRONACO) under the late Chief Anthony Enahoro CFR as Mobilisation and Laison Officer, the late Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti’s movement as Secretary in the June 12 Coalition and Stakeholders and Prof. Wole Soyinka as Secretary at the Citizens Forum (CF).

Comrade Adewale noted that his ambition is driven by the need to attract greater federal presence to Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency through effective representation and impactful legislation.

He assured stakeholders of inclusive leadership, regular consultation and continuous engagement if elected.

The Apex leaders, in their response, expressed satisfaction with his presentation, noting a positive disposition toward his aspiration and describing him as experienced and well-prepared for legislative responsibility.

The meeting ended on a cordial note with prayers for his success and a group photograph session.

Also present were other aspirants, including Hon. Ramota Akinola, Hon. Jimoh, and Hon. Tunde Sanusi, who exchanged pleasantries with Adewale, reflecting unity within the party ranks.

The leaders all collected Comrade Adewale’s campaign souvenirs and handbills and even wore them for group photographs, which made Adewale very happy and deeply appreciative.
