Sanwo-Olu, Obasa, Ojelabi, Bisi Yusuff Hail Akindele’s Achievements as She Marks 100 Days in Office
The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa; the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; and the APC Apex Leader in Alimosho Federal Constituency and Director General of GMT, Hon. Bisi Yusuff, have all commended the developmental strides recorded by the Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, within her first 100 days in office.
The carnival-like ceremony, held at the council secretariat, was attended by state party executives, political leaders, community leaders, CDC/CDA representatives, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and several interest groups.
To mark the 100-day milestone, the LCDA commissioned the rehabilitated 2nd Avenue Road, the newly named Adunni Akindele Way (formerly Boys’ Town Road), a rehabilitated block of six classrooms at Abesan Primary School, the rehabilitated Opeki Primary Health Centre, and presented official vehicles to the Nigerian Police Force, the Mosan-Okunola Environmental Team, the Mosan-Okunola Security Team, as well as an ambulance to the LCDA health facility.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, represented by Hon. Kayode Bolaji Robert Bibire, Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, expressed delight in celebrating with Hon. Akindele, noting that she has shown leadership that genuinely connects with the yearnings of her people within a short period.
According to him, “The impressive scorecard displayed here today distinctively shows vision and a genuine desire to transform the LCDA. When leadership meets passion, progress becomes a natural platform. I must commend the chairman for aligning her programmes and projects with the T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda of the Lagos State Government, which focuses on public management, transportation, health and environment, education and technology, making Lagos a 21st-century economy.”
He added: “Entertainment and policy, security and governance are added pluses which emphasize inclusive youth development and social progression. Your efforts in Mosan-Okunola LCDA reflect this statewide vision beautifully. To the good people of Mosan-Okunola, I implore you to continue to support this administration. When government and the people work hand in hand, development becomes more meaningful.”
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, represented by Hon. Ajomale Oladipo Olayinka (Esq), praised Hon. Akindele for recording remarkable milestones within her first 100 days.
He noted that her achievements reflect “dedication, resilience, passion and determination to bring grassroots development to Mosan-Okunola,” adding that her administration has shown strong commitment to inclusive governance, community development, and purposeful leadership.
APC State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, also lauded the party leadership in Mosan-Okunola LCDA for supporting Hon. Akindele’s administration.
“To the people of Mosan-Okunola, I say congratulations. You have not wasted your votes. And I want to say you haven’t seen anything yet. Akindele is putting smiles on the people’s faces, and I can see the joy in their faces. It shows she is delivering on her electoral promises.”
He continued: “I make bold to say, on behalf of my team, the state party excos, the state government and the leadership of our great party, that she has started on a solid footing and will continue to build on it. Thank you for consolidating the Renewed Hope agenda of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for ensuring that the dividends of democracy get to the people of Mosan-Okunola.”
Speaking at the commissioning of the newly named Adunni Akindele Way at Boys’ Town Bus Stop, Hon. (Prince) Bisi Yusuff praised the council boss for delivering two major road projects in Abesan Estate—described as the most populous low-cost housing estate in West Africa—within just 100 days.
He recalled his earlier promise that Alimosho would deliver one million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the results visible under Hon. Akindele’s leadership prove that such declarations were not exaggerated.
“Today, we can rest assured it is doable. To the glory of God and mankind, I commission this road on behalf of our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of the Universe. To God be the glory,” he prayed.
