Movement for Human Rights Voluteers holds annual Summit 2025 tomorrow

It will be a convergence of prominent lawyers, human right actvists, members of the civil society groups and concerned Nigerians as the Movement for Human Rights Voluteers holds her annual Summit 2025 tomorrow Thursday at the Mosan Okunola LCDA in Ipaja area of Lagos state.
The Summit is titled: “2027 Elections and Beyond: Is Nigeria Project Worth Dying To Defend”.
The Convener of the Summit, Comrade Musbau Olatunji Akinyemi said that the idea was to create awareness on duties and responsibilities of every citizens before, during and after every election period in the country.
He explained that those listed as Speakers and Discussants at the event will disect the title relating it to the past years of struggle during the military era and the current socio-economic development in the country.
Comrade Musbau Olatunji who is also the Chief Executive Officerr at the Centre for Peaceful Resolution however challenged Nigerians especially those in the civil society groups not to be discouraged with the happenings in the political space but remain resolute in entrenching full participatory democracy in the country.
The Royal Father of the day is HRM Oba Hameed Orelope Laka, the Elegbeda of Egbeda while Barr. Femi Falana (SAN) will serve as the chairman and Barr. Femi Aborishade, the first National Secretary of the National Conscience Party as the Guest Speaker at the summit.
Special Guests of Honour includes Human Rights Activist, Senator Shehu Sanni and the former Lagos state Deputy Governor, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire while the Executive Chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA,Hon. Adunni Akindele will serve as the Chief Host.
Discussants at the Summit includes; Comrade Kayode Opeifa, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation: Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, President, Women Arise for Change Initiative and Barr. Malachi Ugwummadu, former President of the CDHR.
At the very crucial Summit, Comrade Afolabi Gbajumo, President African for Human Rights International and Hon. Seye Oladejo who is the Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos will serve as keynote Speakers.
The summit will also mark the celebrations of 36 years of activism and 61st Birthday of Amb Musbau Olatunji Akinyemi (Onilegbale)
