Expect Bigger Empowerment Programme Nationwide, Says First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the best is yet to come adding people should expects bigger empowerment programme nationwide.

She also said that help and hope is here for the less privileged irrespective of religion, ethnicity and party affiliation.

The First Lady stated this at the closing Ceremony of the 3-Day Skills Acquisition Training and Empowerment Programme facilitated by her in conjuction with Cocoa Research Institute Ibadan at the Lagos City Centre, in Lagos Island.

Represented by Hon Wahab Alawiye-King, Senator Oluremi Tinubu also thanked the people of Lagos Central Senatorial District for the unalloyed support during her twelve years in the Senate

On his part, the Chairman Lagos Island East LCDA, Alade Folawiyo urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity to become self reliant.

He described the First Lady as a selfless leader and generous human beings who always like to make a mark in the lives of people that comes across her

The council Chairman also urged the First Lady to replicate the empowerment programme nationwide for the benefit of the less privileged.

He also expressed satisfaction with the Senator elect for Lagos Central District, Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun whom he belive will continue in the track laid by Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Yaba LCDA, Kayode Omiyale urged other politicians to emulate her generosity to reduce the poverty level in the society.

He charged them to multiply the knowledge gained from the training to improve on their well being.

The state vice chairman of the APC, Moshood Mayegun described the training programme as another thank you from the First Lady to the people of Lagos Central District.

He said they should be determined to make the best out of the training..

On behalf of the Cocoa Research Institute Ibadan,  Mrs Fabowale Folashade wished the beneficiaries well.

She noted that most training were usually announced but funds diverted unlike that of Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Olaide Adegbola and Funmilayo Ewete thanked the First Lady for the opportunity wishing that it continues to go round more people.

They said empowering women is like empowering the nation.
