NASFAT President Urges Nigerians to Embrace Unity and Moral Renewal as Hijrah 1447 Begins
As Muslims across the globe mark the beginning of the new Islamic year, the President of Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), Dr. Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, has called on Nigerians to reflect deeply on the values of the Hijrah and commit to a life of hard work, perseverance, and moral uprightness.
In a press release commemorating Hijrah Day 1447 AH, Dr. AbdulRauf congratulated the Muslim Ummah and extended heartfelt wishes for a joyful and fulfilling Islamic New Year.
“As we mark the beginning of the new Islamic year, 1447 AH, let us take time to reflect on the significance of the Hijrah and its enduring relevance to the wellbeing of humanity, especially in light of the prevailing insecurity in our country,” he said.
Calling for a collective moral migration, the NASFAT President urged all Nigerians to shun societal vices and embrace behaviors that foster national unity and social cohesion.
He further encouraged citizens to live as good ambassadors of Nigeria both at home and in the diaspora, emphasizing the need for integrity, love, and commitment to the progress of the nation.
Dr. AbdulRauf announced that NASFAT would be offering special prayers for the wellbeing of all citizens and residents, the prosperity of Nigeria and other nations, and the success of the new Hijrah year.
“In this sacred season, we renew our call for unity, peace, and progress, and express hope for a successful and prosperous Hijrah year, 1447 AH,” he concluded.
The message was delivered on Muharram 1, 1447 AH, marking the start of the Islamic New Year.
