British movie star, Idris Elba, and Nigerian media mogul, Mo Abudu, have formed a partnership to further boost African talents on the global stage.<\/p>\n
In a statement released by Ebony Life TV via Twitter on Thursday, the prime goal of the collaboration is to provide top-tier film education for Africans by replicating \u201cthe successful model of the EbonyLife Creative Academy across the continent\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSecondly, we aim to develop a new slate of feature films and TV series that originate from Africa or the Diaspora. These projects will be created with global audiences in mind,\u201d the statement read.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking on his partnership with Abudu, the \u201cLuther\u201d star expressed optimism at the move, saying it was a way to create a \u201cmore inclusive and diverse media landscape\u201d, Variety reports.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI have always been passionate about using my platform to make a positive impact. By partnering with Mo, we aim to offer free, world-class industry education to the next generation of storytellers and bring their authentic voices to the forefront.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis partnership is a step towards creating a more inclusive and diverse media landscape, one that represents the voices and experiences of Africa and its diaspora around the world,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n The movie producer also expressed her confidence in the ability of Africa\u2019s talents to capture the global audience with their stories.<\/span><\/p>\n She said, \u201cWe believe that Africa has the talent and the stories to captivate the world.
