The Companion, association of Muslim men in business and the professions is hosting its 2024 Conference and 6th National Discourse next week.<\/p>\n
This is contained in a press statement signed by Muideen Adeleke and Tajudeen Balogun, the Chairman and Secretary respectively, of the Media, Mobilization and Publicity sub-committee, of the event’s National Organising Committee.<\/p>\n
The Discourse which is one of the means the organisation lends its voice on national issues of interest is themed: \u201cBetween Patriotism And Self-Preservation\u201d, featuring a lecture, titled: \u201cDilemma Of The Nigerian Youth: Challenges At Home, Uncertainties Abroad\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Chairman of the upcoming public lecture, according to the release, is the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.<\/p>\n
The statement indicated that the Keynote Speaker is the Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim. The Guest Speaker is the Chairman\/Chief Executive Officer, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, while the Co-Speaker is the immediate past Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah.<\/p>\n
The Special Guest of honour is the Registrar\/Chief Executive Officer, Joint Admission Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.<\/p>\n
It added that the incoming edition of the programme, is scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 10, 2024, inside the auditorium of the National University Commission Auditorium , Maitama District, Abuja, at 10:00 am.<\/p>\n
The Discourse will have in attendance, The Companion members, from its existing six Districts, including: Abuja, Lagos, Oyo, Kwara, Osun and Cross River states.<\/p>\n
It is also expected to attract businessmen, captains of industries, government functionaries, non-governmental organizations, academics and students, among others.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the Discourse will be immediately followed by a non-elective Conference.<\/p>\n
Members are expected to depart Abuja for their various destinations early on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
