<\/p>\nThe National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has charged residents of Lagos to consolidate the re-election of President Bola Tinubu with massive votes in the January 16 election, just as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu urged aggrieved party members to sheathe their swords.<\/p>\n

Yilwatda said the party could not afford a repeat of the 2023 poll, adding that it must win Lagos, which has over seven million registered voters, to secure a landslide victory for Tinubu at the poll.<\/p>\n
The party chieftain spoke at the Lagos APC PBAT-KOH 2027 Campaign Retreat held at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos, with the theme: \u201cThe Road to the Ballot, One Team, One Strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The National Chairman said all hands must be on deck to ensure victory for all the party\u2019s candidates, while appealing to residents of the state to vote en masse for President Tinubu to sustain the ongoing bold reforms in the country.<\/p>\n
Yilwatda also appealed to the Campaign Director-General, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, to embrace every interest within the party, noting that no one should go to the poll with anger against the party.<\/p>\n
Addressing those who claim to be technocrats, the party boss explained that anyone who accepts a political appointment must be prepared to play a role in politics, saying every leader must take responsibility for winning their polling wards for the party.<\/p>\n
On his part, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside the state chairman of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, called for the reconciliation of aggrieved party members in the state.<\/p>\n
They stressed the need for the party to approach the 2027 general elections as a united family with a common purpose, while also strengthening its relationship with the grassroots.<\/p>\n
Sanwo-Olu urged aggrieved party members not to lose hope, assuring them that there would be another opportunity for them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
