The All Progressives Congress Support Group Council (APC-SGC), Lagos State Chapter, has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election and endorsed the incumbent Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, for the governorship election.<\/p>\n

The council, under the leadership of its South-West Deputy Director General, Hon. Adewale Adeogun, also congratulated the Lagos State Chairman of the APC, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on his birthday.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the council\u2019s endorsement, the Lagos State Coordinator of the APC-SGC, Hon. Omosanya Adeboye, said the group remained committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.<\/p>\n

Adeboye said the council\u2019s support for Tinubu was based on what it described as the administration\u2019s efforts to reform the economy, strengthen national institutions and promote infrastructure and human capital development since its assumption of office in May 2023.<\/p>\n

He listed road and infrastructure development, economic reforms, education, youth empowerment, healthcare, skills acquisition, social investment and employment creation among the areas where the administration had recorded progress.<\/p>\n

According to him, the Tinubu administration\u2019s investments in federal highways, bridges, rail transportation and other critical infrastructure were improving connectivity, facilitating commerce and stimulating economic growth.<\/p>\n

He also said the administration\u2019s economic reforms were aimed at strengthening public finances, encouraging investment, improving revenue generation and supporting domestic production.<\/p>\n

The council expressed confidence that continued implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda would further strengthen Nigeria\u2019s economy and promote sustainable national development.<\/p>\n

On the Lagos governorship election, the group said Hamzat\u2019s experience, competence and commitment to progressive governance made him suitable to consolidate the achievements of successive APC administrations in the state.<\/p>\n

The council called on APC members, support groups, stakeholders, youths, women, professionals, artisans, market associations and other Nigerians to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.<\/p>\n

It urged party members to support Tinubu\u2019s re-election while also working towards the emergence of Hamzat as the next governor of Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the APC-SGC Lagos State Chapter congratulated Ojelabi on his birthday, describing his leadership as instrumental to the unity and growth of the party in the state.<\/p>\n

In a birthday message signed by Adeboye, the council commended Ojelabi for his leadership, dedication and commitment to the APC, while wishing him good health, wisdom, strength, peace and continued success.<\/p>\n
