In a strategic drive to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Muslim Affairs Directorate of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Lagos State has launched an intensive voter sensitization campaign aimed at mobilizing the state\u2019s massive Muslim population for the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n

Following the group\u2019s inauguration, the Director of Muslim Affairs, Alhaji AbdulWaheed Tella, led a high-powered delegation on an official working visit to the national headquarters of the Jamaat Ahli Llahi (JAMAHLIY) in Ikeja, Lagos.<\/p>\n

The outreach focused on underscoring the critical necessity of voter registration, Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) collection and transfer and active participation at the polls.<\/p>\n

Addressing congregation members, leaders and community stakeholders, Alhaji Tella highlighted the pivotal demographic influence of Muslim voters in determining the state\u2019s political trajectory.<\/p>\n

\u201cLagos State boasts an estimated population of 25 million people, with the Muslim community constituting approximately 15 million,\u201d Tella declared. \u201cIf this vast population ensures they obtain their PVCs and turn out en masse to vote for the APC come 2027, victory is guaranteed for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and all APC candidates across the board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the economic and social policies of the current administration, Tella argued that President Tinubu inherited a nation facing decades of systemic challenges, but is systematically steering Nigeria toward recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe country had sunk for decades, but today President Tinubu is reviving it step by step. We are already witnessing positive impacts under the Asiwaju-led government and across APC-governed states,\u201d Tella noted. \u201cA continuation of this mandate will unlock even greater benefits for Lagosians and Nigerians at large under President Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.\u201d<\/p>\n

To turn demographic strength into electoral momentum, the Director urged men, women and young people to prioritize civic duty over voter apathy. He specifically advised voters who have relocated within Lagos State to update their details with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you previously lived in Mushin and have now relocated to Ipaja, endeavour to transfer your polling unit to your current residence either online or at the nearest INEC local government office,\u201d he explained. \u201cOn election day, do not sit at home. Go out with your families and cast your ballots for APC across all levels. Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding on behalf of the Jamaat Ahli Llahi society, Prof. Mustapha Bello commended the Renewed Hope Ambassadors for taking the initiative to engage faith-based organizations directly. Prof. Bello urged members of the society to heed the call by securing their PVCs, updating their voting records, and exercising their civic rights responsibly to ensure good governance.<\/p>\n

The visit marks the beginning of a broader grassroots campaign by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to engage Islamic institutions, community organizations and voter blocs across the 20 Local Government Areas of Lagos State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
