The Lagos State Police Command has announced the sudden death of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Khan Salihu.<\/p>\n
DCP Salihu\u2019s death was described as a painful loss to the Nigeria Police Force and the command in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abimbola Adebisi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai.<\/p>\n
Announcing that he died on Monday, June 15, 2026, the command said DCP Salihu\u2019s demise came as a profound shock to officers and personnel, noting that he was a dedicated senior officer whose contributions significantly enhanced the administration and operational efficiency of the Lagos State Police Command.<\/p>\n
In the statement, the command described DCP Salihu as a disciplined, committed, and highly professional officer who served the Nigeria Police Force with loyalty, integrity, and exceptional dedication throughout his career.<\/p>\n
According to the police, DCP Salihu demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to duty in the various positions he occupied during his years of service, noting that his extensive experience and administrative expertise played a crucial role in strengthening the management structure of the state police command.<\/p>\n
The statement said: \u201cThroughout his distinguished career, DCP Khan Salihu exemplified diligence, exemplary leadership, and a strong commitment to duty.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, on behalf of officers and men of the Lagos State Police Command, extended condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of the late officer.<\/p>\n
The command prayed for strength and comfort for those affected by the loss and asked Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest.<\/p>\n
The police leadership described the passing of DCP Salihu as an irreparable loss, emphasising that his service record and dedication to the force would remain a source of inspiration for serving officers.<\/p>\n
The command said DCP Salihu would be remembered for his humility, professionalism, and selfless service to the nation.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the legacy left behind by DCP Salihu will continue to inspire officers and men of the command for years to come.<\/p>\n
