PETITION: REQUEST FOR INVESTIGATION AND REDRESS OF SERIOUS PROCEDURAL IRREGULARITIES OBSERVED DURING THE APC HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARY ELECTION IN AMUWO ODOFIN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY, LAGOS STATE.<\/p>\n
Dear Sir,<\/p>\n
I respectfully submit this petition to your esteemed Committee seeking urgent investigation, review, and appropriate redress concerning serious procedural irregularities and apparent violations that were observed during the APC House of Representatives primary election conducted across the 11 wards in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Lagos State.<\/p>\n
1. Background of Complaint<\/p>\n
A credible and lawful accreditation process in party primaries ordinarily requires the deployment of duly authorised officials from the APC National Headquarters, working in conjunction with the State and Ward Local Organising Committees. This process is expected to be guided by an officially verified membership register containing the names and data of all eligible party members within each ward.<\/p>\n
However, during the conduct of the said primary election across all 11 wards in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, no official membership register was presented, displayed, or made available for verification and accreditation purposes.<\/p>\n
2. Observed Irregularities<\/p>\n
In the absence of a verified register, accreditation was reduced to the mere marking of APC slips presented by individuals without proper identity verification or membership authentication.<\/p>\n
There are also credible concerns and widespread observations that a substantial number of these slips were unofficial and allegedly mass-produced outside the approved party structure.<\/p>\n
It has further been alleged that these irregular materials are linked to certain stakeholders within the APC party in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. These allegations are respectfully submitted for proper investigation and verification by your Committee.<\/p>\n
3. Procedural Concerns<\/p>\n
The absence of a transparent and verifiable accreditation process constitutes a fundamental procedural defect. It raises serious concerns regarding compliance with:<\/p>\n
* The APC Constitution
\n* Party guidelines governing primary elections
\n* Established internal democratic procedures<\/p>\n
For comparison, standard electoral practice as observed in national elections requires verification against an official register prior to accreditation and voting. Unfortunately, no equivalent safeguard or verification process was observed during this exercise.<\/p>\n
4. Relief Sought<\/p>\n
In view of the foregoing, I respectfully request the following:<\/p>\n
1. A full and independent investigation into the conduct of the accreditation and voting process across all 11 wards in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.<\/p>\n
2. Review of all materials, processes, and procedures used during the primary election.<\/p>\n
3. Nullification of all results presented during the said House of Representatives Primary in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Lagos State.<\/p>\n
4. Assurance of strict compliance with APC constitutional provisions in future exercises.<\/p>\n
5. Evidence<\/p>\n
Kindly note that video evidence is attached showing my interactions with individuals who identified as Local Organising Committee officials mainly APC party members from Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency Festac 1 ward which is my ward during my accreditation process where I openly noted and told them of the irregularities that I observed.<\/p>\n
The video raises serious concerns regarding the transparency, credibility, and procedural integrity of the exercise conducted.<\/p>\n
6. Appeal for Calm<\/p>\n
Sir, I respectfully urge all party members, my supporters, and stakeholders to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while awaiting the outcome of this petition. We remain committed to pursuing all legitimate and constitutional channels in our quest for justice and internal party democracy.<\/p>\n

In the interest of justice, fairness, due process, and the integrity of our great party, I respectfully appeal for your urgent intervention and thorough investigation of this matter.<\/p>\n
