TEXT OF A PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE NEED FOR CONTINUITY OF DEVELOPMENT IN AGEGE.<\/p>\n
Good morning, gentlemen of the press, comrades, ladies and gentlemen! Today, we gather to celebrate a champion of progress, a leader who has put Agege Constituency 02 on the map, Honourable Chief Jubril Abdul Kareem.<\/p>\n
A CALL TO ACTION. RETAIN HONOURABLE CHIEF JUBRIL ABDUL KAREEM FOR A SECOND TERM<\/p>\n
We’re here to say loud and clear: it’s time for continuity. Honourable Jubril Abdul Kareem has been a game-changer for Agege, and we believe he deserves a second term ticket. As the APC party prepares for its primaries, we urge all stakeholders to support his re-election bid.<\/p>\n
A TRACK RECORD OF SERVICE<\/p>\n
Honourable Jubril has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to the people of Agege. He’s delivered on his promises, developing key infrastructure, improving education and healthcare services, and empowering youth and women. His experience as Chairman of Agege Local Government and in the State Assembly has equipped him with the skills to effectively represent Agege Constituency 02.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE MATTERS<\/p>\n
As we say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and another saying goes this , ” a bird that flies with it’s wings intact is the one that reaches the other side .” Honourable Jubril’s experience is invaluable, and his re-election would be a blessing to the people of Agege. Let’s keep moving forward, not backwards.<\/p>\n
LEADERSHIP CALL TO ACTION<\/p>\n
We appeal to the leaders of the APC party in Agege , Lagos State and Nigeria including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to ensure justice is served and Honourable Jubril is given the opportunity to continue serving Agege Constituency 02 people. He has proven himself to be a worthy legislator.<\/p>\n
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE<\/p>\n
As Civil Society organisations , CDJ and ACOM are not partisan but we’re speaking for the people of Agege. Our presence here today is a testament to the will of the people of Agege 02. We echo the sentiments of the residents and indigenes of Agege. They want Jubril, and we’re here to amplify their voice. As the Yoruba saying goes, “a community that speaks with one voice is heard by the gods.”<\/p>\n
The people of Agege have spoken: it’s Jubril they want. Let’s make it happen. Injustice is not the way of APC patriots that identify with justice.<\/p>\n
The Orile Agege has produced two legislators for Agege 02 and non served for one term.
\nHonourable Yinka Ogundimu served for three terms, Honourable Adejare served for two terms and moved to Federal House of Repsentatives.
\nHonourable Jubril Jubilation Abdul Kareem is from Agege side. It will not be fair for the people of Agege area of Agege Constituency not to be given a second term ticket . The Agege area of Constituency 02 is represented by Honourable Jubril Abdul Kareem. Jubi represents Jubilation. Agege . Agege 02 wants Jubilation and celebration to continue.<\/p>\n
INTERNATIONAL BEST PRACTICES<\/p>\n
In countries like the United States, experienced legislators are often re-elected due to their expertise. Let’s follow suit and give Honourable Jubril the chance to continue serving Agege Constituency 02<\/p>\n
A FINAL APPEAL<\/p>\n
Join us in supporting Honourable Jubril Abdul Kareem’s re-election bid. We urge all stake holders and APC delegates to support and vote Honourable Jubril at the primary election of the party. Together, we shall build a better Agege Constituency 02.<\/p>\n
