Abdulakeem Omolaja Animashahun ahead of the party\u2019s primary election for the Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency seat, while also appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to enforce zoning in the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>The endorsement came during the official flag-off of Animashahun\u2019s campaign, which attracted party leaders, community stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers and supporters from across the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>The stakeholders used the gathering to call for an end to what they described as the 27-year political marginalisation of Ebute Metta West, insisting that fairness and equity should guide the emergence of the APC candidate for the House of Representatives seat.<\/p>\n<p>They also reaffirmed their support for President Tinubu\u2019s second-term bid in the 2027 general elections, while urging the President to ensure the zoning arrangement reflects inclusiveness and justice within the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the event, Dr. Segun Oshile reflected on his family\u2019s political history in Yaba and Lagos Mainland, recalling the contributions of his grandfather, the late J.B. Oshile, to politics in the area.<\/p>\n<p>He said his political experience dating back to the old Action Group and the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) has strengthened his belief in supporting leaders with strong grassroots connections and a genuine commitment to public service.<\/p>\n<p>Describing Animashahun as humble, accessible and visionary, Oshile said the aspirant possesses the leadership qualities required to provide effective representation for the people of Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency.<\/p>\n<p>Other speakers at the gathering stressed the need for competent representation at the National Assembly, noting that Animashahun\u2019s background as a legal practitioner and grassroots politician positions him to understand and address the challenges facing constituents.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Anthony Clever said the constituency would benefit from electing a representative with both legal expertise and strong community ties, while Hon. John Obalade and Mr. Femu Olayide highlighted the need to strengthen local government structures and expand social intervention programmes for residents.<\/p>\n<p>According to them, quality representation at the federal level would complement ongoing developmental efforts within communities across the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>The stakeholders also urged APC members and delegates to participate actively in the party\u2019s primary election scheduled for May 15, calling for unity and massive support for Animashahun\u2019s aspiration.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing supporters, Prince Hon.
