Adesola Ayeola-Alawaye has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State and stakeholders in Ibeju-Lekki to support her aspiration for the Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Adesola is the daughter of the late Hon. Abayomi Abdul-Kabir Ayeola, former leader of the Lagos State Caucus in the House of Representatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In her appeal to party leaders and constituents, Adesola emphasized the need for greater inclusion of women in governance, stressing that women possess the competence, capacity, and compassion required for effective representation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Drawing inspiration from <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Oluremi Tinubu<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, former First Lady of Lagos State and a three-term Senator representing Lagos Central, she noted that when women are given opportunities, they deliver impactful leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She described Senator Tinubu\u2019s trajectory as a strong example of how female inclusion in governance contributes meaningfully to national development, adding that Nigeria would have been deprived of significant contributions in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly if such opportunities had not been extended.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She further stated that her aspiration is driven by a desire to contribute to legislative advancement and strengthen grassroots representation in Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">To reinforce her position, she cited other prominent Nigerian women in public service who have distinguished themselves in leadership. These include <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Abike Dabiri-Erewa<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, recognized for enhancing Nigeria\u2019s global engagement; <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Idiat Adebule<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, noted for her contributions to education and governance; <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Kafilat Ogbara<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, known for her advocacy for women\u2019s rights and social development; and <\/span><span class=\"s2\">Funmi Tejuoso<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, whose legislative record continues to inspire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to her, these women demonstrate that leadership is defined not by gender but by vision, dedication, and measurable impact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She urged political leaders and stakeholders in Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II to embrace this progressive reality by supporting qualified female leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hon.
