Former Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ramotalai Olanrewaju Akinlola-Hassan, has officially declared her intention to contest for the Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
Akinlola-Hassan made the declaration on Monday, stating that her ambition is driven by a strong desire to deliver purposeful leadership and accelerate development across the constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n
Describing her decision as a product of \u201cdeep reflection and wide consultations,\u201d the former council boss emphasised the need for experienced and result-oriented leadership to steer the next phase of growth in Amuwo-Odofin.<\/p>\n
According to her, her agenda is centered on improving the quality of life of residents through effective representation and people-focused policies that will stimulate economic growth and infrastructure development across both riverine and upland communities.<\/p>\n
She outlined key priority areas to include access to quality education, improved healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, and enhanced infrastructure, adding that her goal is to ensure a stronger federal presence in the constituency.<\/p>\n
Akinlola-Hassan, who represented Amuwo-Odofin Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015, also served two terms as Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA from 2017 to 2025.<\/p>\n
She noted that her legislative and executive experience has equipped her with the capacity to deliver impactful representation at the federal level.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on her tenure as council chairman, she highlighted several achievements across sectors such as healthcare, education, road infrastructure, environmental management, security, and social welfare, including initiatives targeted at women, children, and vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n
She assured constituents that, if elected, he would leverage her experience to facilitate sustainable development, attract impactful projects, and implement programmes that would improve livelihoods and boost the local economy.<\/p>\n
