The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has announced the temporary closure of some roads ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled for Monday, 6th April 2026.<\/p>\n

The affected roads to be cordoned off include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 King George V Road at the junction by Mobil Filling Station<\/p>\n

\u2022 Onikan Roundabout, inbound to TBS<\/p>\n

\u2022 Flagstaff House, inbound to TBS<\/p>\n

\u2022 Outer Marina by State House, inbound to TBS<\/p>\n

\u2022 Campbell Street by the Old Defence Building<\/p>\n

\u2022 Catholic Mission Street by St. Nicholas Hospital.<\/p>\n

All road closures will commence from 7:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

Motorists and residents are advised to plan their movements accordingly and use alternative routes during this period.<\/p>\n

According to Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), alternative routes are:<\/p>\n

Vehicles coming from Obalende, descending towards Onikan Roundabout, will be directed towards Zone 2.<\/p>\n

Vehicles coming from Bonny Camp towards McEwen Bridge, as well as those descending from Flagstaff House towards TBS, will be diverted towards Obalende Bridge.<\/p>\n

Vehicles coming from Outer Marina towards TBS will also be diverted towards Obalende Bridge.<\/p>\n

The State Government regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the cooperation of the public.<\/p>\n
