\nWomen from all walks of life, under the aegis of the Women of Badagry Federation, have unanimously declared their support for Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose as the preferred governorship candidate on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos State.<\/p>\n

They also stated that Lagos cannot lay claim to fairness, equity, and justice if Badagry continues to be left behind in the political landscape through both military and civilian administrations since 1967.<\/p>\n

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rafeequat Arinola Onabamiro, who addressed the media on behalf of the group at the Badagry Town Hall, explained that they were not out to complain or protest but were making a legitimate demand that it is the turn of Badagry to govern the state in 2027.<\/p>\n

According to her, \u201cWhen Lagos needed stability, Badagry stood for peace. When the party needed support, Badagry delivered. When leadership needed mobilisation, Badagry showed up.\u201d<\/p>\n

She stressed that history will remember President Bola Tinubu positively if he honours their request, noting that Badagry has waited for so long and is not a spectator but a major stakeholder in the future of the state.<\/p>\n

The former federal lawmaker added that the area will no longer tolerate individuals who use Badagry\u2019s name and identity to secure political appointments at both the state and federal levels under the guise of representation.<\/p>\n

She maintained that Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the progress of the party, the state, and the South West at large.<\/p>\n

On his part, Chief Rasheed Shobaloju, who spoke on behalf of the aspirant, Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, noted that the demand is legitimate and genuine, expressing hope for a favourable response.<\/p>\n

He made it clear that the women are not protesting but appealing to President Bola Tinubu and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to grant their request.<\/p>\n

One of the APC women leaders from Badagry, Mrs. Kikelomo Ladipo, promised that they would mobilise and vote massively for the party\u2019s candidates in the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n

Adding her voice, Hon. Funmi Agbaje disclosed that the women of Badagry are firmly behind Dr. Ajose\u2019s ambition, noting that women constitute the largest voting bloc and often determine electoral outcomes.<\/p>\n
