It noted that Eid-ul-Fitr is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity for reflection on the enduring values of faith, compassion, justice, and unity as enshrined in Islam.

The Society called on the Muslim Ummah to remain united and steadfast, emphasizing that the strength of the Muslim community lies in its unity, mutual respect, and collective commitment to peace and justice. Against the backdrop of ongoing humanitarian challenges and conflicts in various parts of the world, it urged the international community to prioritize peace, dialogue, justice, and the protection of innocent lives.

Commenting on the situation in Nigeria, the Society urged citizens to use the Eid period for sober reflection on collective national responsibilities. It expressed concern over persistent security challenges, including banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism, and called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts to strengthen the nation’s security architecture and ensure the safety of all citizens.

The statement further noted that the ongoing national discourse on the establishment of State Police deserves careful consideration, observing that the current centralized policing structure has shown limitations in addressing Nigeria’s diverse security challenges. It suggested that a properly regulated multi-layered security framework could complement federal efforts and enhance community-based intelligence in combating crime.

The Society also underscored the importance of strengthening Nigeria’s food supply chain and agricultural sector through sustainable policies, improved logistics, and increased support for farmers, noting that food security remains essential to national stability and economic growth.

As the nation approaches another electoral cycle, the Society urged Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan—peace, patience, discipline, forgiveness, and accountability—in their democratic engagement. It called on all citizens, particularly Muslims, to reject violence, hatred, and divisive rhetoric, and to participate actively and responsibly in the democratic process by supporting candidates who demonstrate integrity, competence, and commitment to national development.

While commending the Federal Government for its efforts over the past two years toward stabilizing the economy, the Society acknowledged that challenges remain. It, however, noted that ongoing reforms in fiscal management and economic policy are commendable and should be sustained to promote economic growth, job creation, and social welfare.

The Society further called on all Nigerians to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, compassion, and national unity, urging acts of kindness, support for the less privileged, and collective efforts toward building a more secure, just, and prosperous nation.

It prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the fasting, prayers, and acts of charity performed during Ramadan, and grants Nigeria peace, stability, and progress.

Eid Mubarak to all Muslims in Nigeria and around the world.

Muhammed Sola Hassan, PhD
National Publicity Secretary

The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the joyous

[11

post-20922","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-from-the-grassroots
["GET
