The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has called for stronger support from state governments for the developmental initiatives of Nigeria\u2019s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu.<\/p>\n
Obasa made the call while speaking with State House correspondents after a meeting with the First Lady at the State House Abuja.<\/p>\n
According to him, the various interventions being implemented by the First Lady in key sectors would significantly benefit vulnerable women and youths across the country if supported by subnational governments.<\/p>\n
The Speaker commended the impact of the First Lady\u2019s Renewed Hope Initiative, describing it as a transformative effort aimed at improving the lives of the less privileged.<\/p>\n
He urged state governments to take advantage of the momentum generated by the initiative to implement sustainable development programmes that would further improve the welfare of citizens.<\/p>\n
Obasa also explained that his visit to the First Lady was partly to extend his goodwill during the overlapping religious observances of Ramadan and Lent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
