Farm for Me, which offers managed agricultural investment opportunities; Harvest for Me, which provides harvesting and yield optimisation services; and Support for Smallholder Farmers, aimed at improving access to mechanisation, farm inputs and markets.<\/p>\n<p>Edwards noted that the initiative incorporates mechanisation and a robust equipment ecosystem while leveraging strategic market segmentation to minimise risks and maximise productivity and profitability.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the African Sahel region could emerge as one of the world\u2019s major food markets within the next five years, making investment in agriculture increasingly important.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_20640\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-20640\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20640\" src=\"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_2546-300x202.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_2546-300x202.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_2546-768x518.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_2546-640x431.jpeg 640w, https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_2546.jpeg 828w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-20640\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The initiative received endorsement from the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems. In her goodwill message, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Olusanya, commended Origin Tech Group for demonstrating private sector leadership in strengthening Nigeria\u2019s food systems.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that agriculture remains fundamental to economic development and human survival, adding that initiatives such as the Corporate Farm Model align with Lagos State\u2019s commitment to building resilient food systems and expanding agricultural opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking at the event, President of the Maize Association of Nigeria, Mohammed Abubakar Annur, emphasised the critical role of farmers in ensuring national security, stating that \u201cwithout farmers, there is no security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholders from the financial sector also expressed support for the initiative.
