{"id":20416,"date":"2026-02-21T16:50:24","date_gmt":"2026-02-21T16:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/?p=20416"},"modified":"2026-02-21T16:54:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-21T16:54:27","slug":"the-monthly-state-environmental-exercise-has-not-resumed-lasg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/index.php\/2026\/02\/21\/the-monthly-state-environmental-exercise-has-not-resumed-lasg\/","title":{"rendered":"THE MONTHLY STATE ENVIRONMENTAL EXERCISE HAS NOT RESUMED- LASG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lagos State Government on saturday refuted an online media story that the state has resumed the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement by the State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, he stated that no categorical statement has been made on the date of commencement.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, what he told newsmen after a project inspection tour last Sunday was that engagement with all stakeholders were still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed the belief that the exercise may return very soon but that date will be officially communicated by Mr Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe truth is, we were meant to start with a sensitisation programme last week, but we had a logistics issue.
