Members stressed the need for Muslims in the state to participate actively in politics and to rally support for Muslim candidates, particularly in the race for Governor of Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the deliberations, the General Assembly issued a comprehensive communiqu\u00e9 addressing key administrative, social, and religious concerns. It also called on the Lagos State Government to ensure religious balance in the appointment and deployment of Tutor-Generals and Permanent Secretaries in secondary schools across the six education districts of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns were raised over what the Assembly described as the marginalisation of Muslims in political appointments and in the management of health institutions in Lagos State. Members also called on Muslim parents to expose their children to Islamic practices early in life as a means of entrenching spiritual values and moral discipline.<\/p>\n<p>In further resolutions, the Assembly unanimously mandated former executives of the association to submit and hand over all properties, documents, and records, particularly those relating to the scholarship programme.
