<\/p>\nIn their show of rejection of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf\u2019s dumping of the political party, New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP\u2019) on which platform their mandates was given to him in the keenly contested governorship election of 2023, a massive crowd of supporters from Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, have paid a solidarity visit to former Governor and Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabi\u2019u Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence in Kano.<\/p>\n

Kwankwaso disclosed the visit in a Facebook post on Sunday January 25, 2026, describing the supporters as resilient and courageous, especially in the face of recent political developments that have tested the loyalty of party faithful.<\/p>\n
According to him, the delegation reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of Kwankwasiyya, stressing that their support was driven not by personal interests but by the desire for collective progress and the wellbeing of the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was honoured to receive a solidarity visit at my residence in Kano from the resilient people of Nasarawa Local Government,\u201d Kwankwaso said.<\/p>\n
He commended the supporters for remaining steadfast despite recent challenges, noting that their determination underscored the enduring strength of the movement.<\/p>\n
Kwankwaso assured them that the vision and principles of Kwankwasiyya would continue to be upheld and advanced, adding that the movement remains focused on serving the people.<\/p>\n
\u201cTogether, we remain resolute in upholding and advancing the timeless ideals of Kwankwasiyya. The journey continues, and victory is assured by the grace of God and the will of the people,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The visit comes amid heightened political activities in Kano State following the resignation of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).<\/p>\n
Governor Yusuf said his leaving the NNPP was based on internal crisis within the party.<\/p>\n
He was, however, swiftly countered by national publicity secretary of the party, Bamofin Ladipo Johnson, who said the governor was not exactly correct hinge his reason for dumping the party that gave him the governorship mandate international crisis.<\/p>\n
Johnson said there is no internal crisis in the party and called in the governor to come out clear and tell Nigerians what was pulling him and other governors to joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
