{"id":19868,"date":"2026-01-26T17:21:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-26T17:21:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/?p=19868"},"modified":"2026-01-26T17:26:57","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T17:26:57","slug":"keanka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/index.php\/2026\/01\/26\/keanka\/","title":{"rendered":"Thousands Storm Kwankwaso\u2019s Residence in Solidarity, Reject Gov Yusuf\u2019s Defection from NNPP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In their show of rejection of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf\u2019s dumping of the political party, New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP\u2019) on which platform their mandates was given to him in the keenly contested governorship election of 2023, a massive crowd of supporters from Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, have paid a solidarity visit to former Governor and Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabi\u2019u Musa Kwankwaso, at his residence in Kano.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-109398\" src=\"https:\/\/thedefenderngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FB_IMG_1769440876573.jpg\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thedefenderngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FB_IMG_1769440876573.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/thedefenderngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FB_IMG_1769440876573-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/thedefenderngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FB_IMG_1769440876573-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/thedefenderngr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/FB_IMG_1769440876573-390x220.jpg 390w\" alt=\"\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kwankwaso disclosed the visit in a Facebook post on Sunday January 25, 2026, describing the supporters as resilient and courageous, especially in the face of recent political developments that have tested the loyalty of party faithful.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the delegation reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of Kwankwasiyya, stressing that their support was driven not by personal interests but by the desire for collective progress and the wellbeing of the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was honoured to receive a solidarity visit at my residence in Kano from the resilient people of Nasarawa Local Government,\u201d Kwankwaso said.<\/p>\n<p>He commended the supporters for remaining steadfast despite recent challenges, noting that their determination underscored the enduring strength of the movement.<\/p>\n<p>Kwankwaso assured them that the vision and principles of Kwankwasiyya would continue to be upheld and advanced, adding that the movement remains focused on serving the people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether, we remain resolute in upholding and advancing the timeless ideals of Kwankwasiyya.
