The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has described as commendable the performance of the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, within his first 100 days in office.<\/p>\n

She said available records show that the Chairman has touched the lives of residents across critical sectors including health, education, welfare, environment, poverty alleviation, and infrastructure development.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sanwo-Olu gave the commendation at the event marking the Chairman\u2019s 100 days in office, held at the Council Secretariat, Ejigbo Road, Lagos.<\/p>\n

She noted that the Chairman has carved a niche for himself, aligning his efforts with President Bola Tinubu\u2019s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu\u2019s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.<\/p>\n

According to her, Ejigbo LCDA has over one million residents across six wards. She appealed to residents to protect all completed projects and those in the pipeline.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu urged residents to speak out against any form of violence and abuse involving women, the girl child, and even the male child in any part of the metropolis.<\/p>\n

The Governor\u2019s wife also expressed concern that about 30,000 residents are currently suffering from tuberculosis, adding that about 15,000 of them are already receiving adequate treatment to curb the spread of the disease.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Sanwo-Olu, who later commissioned several projects alongside the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, noted that the people of Ejigbo did not make a mistake in voting for Chairman Taiwo, whom she said has kept to his electioneering promises.<\/p>\n

On his part, the Council Chairman, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, who vowed to run an open and transparent administration, said his policies and programmes are guided by the SHIELD Agenda in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S Plus vision and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu to ensure delivery of democratic dividends to residents.<\/p>\n

He explained that the SHIELD Agenda ensures that every decision, project, and intervention contributes to inclusive growth, efficient service delivery, and an improved quality of life for all residents.<\/p>\n

According to him, healthcare delivery remains a top priority of his administration. Within the first 100 days, the council organised the Breastfeeding, Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health Week at the Ejigbo Primary Health Centre, reaffirming its commitment to preventive health education, routine immunisation, and strengthening healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n

In the area of agriculture, the Chairman revealed that the establishment of the Oja Oko initiative marks a major milestone in boosting local commerce by providing residents with a designated, well-structured marketplace for the sale of fresh produce at affordable prices.<\/p>\n
