The summit provided a platform for key stakeholders across the tourism and hospitality value chain to brainstorm and share ideas on repositioning the sector for improved service delivery, while creating new opportunities for the socio-economic development of the state.<\/p>\n

Discussants, led by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka; her counterpart in the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon. Dayo Bush-Alebiosu; the General Manager, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Mr. Damilola Emmanuel; and the General Manager, LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, stressed the need for unity of purpose and full compliance with industry regulations.<\/p>\n

They emphasized that this would foster stronger ties, improve destination competitiveness, and deepen sustainable tourism development in Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Other stakeholders present included the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso; the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi; the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Damilola Ayinde-Marshal; the Managing Director of LAGFERRY, Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi; veteran photographer, Mr. Dayo Adedayo; comedian and actor, Mr. Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome (popularly known as Ali Baba); Afro R&B singer, Dare Art Alade; and Nollywood actor, Mr. Femi Adebayo.<\/p>\n
