All is set for the 14th edition of the Agbado Oke-Odo Festival, a vibrant annual celebration that promotes good character, talent discovery, and community unity within the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a press conference to herald the 2025 edition, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Abiodun Jimoh Isola, who was represented by his vice, Hon. Kehinde Sobayo commended the convener of the festival, Hon. Olabisi Oyebola, for her consistency and determination in sustaining the event for 14 consecutive years.<\/span><\/p>\n

He described the festival as a vital platform that promotes social cohesion and provides opportunities for residents to showcase their talents and creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs a responsive and responsible government, our administration believes in your dream to contribute to the socio-economic growth of our council and the improved standard of living for our people,\u201d Hon. Isola said. <\/span><\/p>\n

He pledged the council\u2019s full support to ensure the continued success of the festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his address, the convener and Majority Leader of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Hon. Olabisi Oyebola, highlighted the growth of the festival since its inception in 2012, describing it as \u201ca symbol of unity, creativity, and progress within the community.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, this year\u2019s edition, themed <\/span>Promoting Good Character and Revealing Hidden Talents<\/span>, will feature a variety of activities including a beauty pageant, mathematics and essay competitions, art exhibitions, talent hunts, games and sports contests, skills acquisition programmes, and a free medical outreach.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival will also include the prestigious <\/span>Agbado Oke-Odo Mega Achievers Awards<\/span>, which will honour individuals and organizations for their contributions to community development in categories such as <\/span>Man of the Year<\/span>, <\/span>Community Man of the Year<\/span>, and <\/span>Company of the Year<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hon. Oyebola expressed appreciation to Alhaji Abiodun Ishola Ejigbadero, the Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, for his \u201cgenerosity, encouragement, and steadfast commitment\u201d to the success of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first phase of the 2025 festival will run from November 17 to 28, while the grand finale is scheduled for December 8 to 14. <\/span><\/p>\n

Participation in all events remains free, but residents are encouraged to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as a mark of civic responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n
