{"id":17790,"date":"2025-10-17T05:49:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T05:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/?p=17790"},"modified":"2025-10-17T05:49:32","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T05:49:32","slug":"nasfat-women-lead-the-trail-in-human-development-call-for-global-partnership-and-government-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenewsnow.org\/index.php\/2025\/10\/17\/nasfat-women-lead-the-trail-in-human-development-call-for-global-partnership-and-government-support\/","title":{"rendered":"NASFAT WOMEN LEAD THE TRAIL IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, CALL FOR GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP AND GOVERNMENT SUPPORT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing women\u2019s empowerment and human development as it sets for a week-long celebration of the 26th NASFAT Women Week, scheduled from October 12th to 19th, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The President of NASFAT, Dr. Ayodeji Abdulwahid AbdulRauf, FCS, in his press release, emphasized that equality for women and girls remains the defining challenge that will shape peace and progress in the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. AbdulRauf underscored the strong ties between women\u2019s advancement and global prosperity, stressing that \u201cwomen\u2019s progress is human progress, and human progress is women\u2019s progress.\u201d He noted that the past 25 years of NASFAT Women\u2019s activities have recorded remarkable achievements in health, education, and economic empowerment across the society\u2019s global chapters, with increased participation of women in leadership and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Highlighting African success stories, he referenced former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as a beacon of post-conflict reconciliation and educational reform. He affirmed that NASFAT women are equally driving change through education, mentorship, and advocacy for girl-child advancement and community growth.<\/p>\n<p>However, Dr. AbdulRauf lamented that women still face alarming challenges, including politically motivated sexual violence, forced marriages, and gender-based discrimination. He condemned such acts as \u201cun-Islamic\u201d and \u201cviolations of human rights,\u201d insisting that they must be eradicated from society.<\/p>\n<p>He further called attention to the global \u201cpandemic of violence against women,\u201d citing gendercide and mass abuses as threats not only to morality but also to national security. NASFAT women, he stressed, continue to champion justice, dignity, and equality through faith-based initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>In his concluding remarks, Dr. AbdulRauf urged local, state, and federal governments\u2014as well as foreign governments and international NGOs\u2014to partner with NASFAT women.
