The event was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems Conference Room, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 16 every year is set aside to mark World Food Day, reminding the global community of the critical need for collective action against hunger and malnutrition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day also provides an opportunity to reflect on the common challenges affecting food accessibility and to proffer workable solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

October 16 further commemorates the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in 1945 \u2014 a milestone in the global fight against food insecurity.<\/span><\/p>\n
