With just six days to go, anticipation is building for the official launch of the <\/span>Produce for Lagos<\/span>Programme\u2014an ambitious food systems initiative set to redefine how agricultural produce is aggregated, distributed, and consumed across Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n

The groundbreaking programme, powered by the Lagos State Government in partnership with the private sector through the Lagos Food Systems Infrastructure Company, will be officially launched on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Produce for Lagos<\/span> initiative is designed as a strategic response to challenges in food accessibility, agricultural productivity, and market coordination. It focuses on strengthening the agricultural value chain by linking producers directly to the heart of demand\u2014Lagos, Nigeria\u2019s most populous and economically dynamic city.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the organisers, the programme aims to support smallholder farmers, reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance nationwide food distribution through bulk aggregation.
