The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, <\/span>Senator Oluremi Tinubu<\/span>, has been honored with the <\/span>2024 Woman of the Year Award<\/span> by <\/span>Independent Newspaper<\/span> in recognition of her contributions to national development\u2014not only as <\/span>First Lady<\/span> but also as a <\/span>former legislator<\/span> and <\/span>wife of a governor<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on her behalf after receiving the award, the <\/span>wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abbas<\/span>, conveyed <\/span>Senator Tinubu\u2019s appreciation<\/span>, stating that the honor would inspire her to do more for Nigerians.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe asked me to thank the Board of Directors of Independent Newspapers Limited for this great honor accorded to her. This recognition will further motivate her to continue her work for the benefit of Nigerians.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
