Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has set a 12-month deadline for the completion of the ongoing General Hospital project in Ojo town.<\/p>\n

The governor issued the directive during a working visit to the construction site, emphasizing the need for timely progress to enhance healthcare services in the Lagos West Senatorial District.<\/p>\n

The Ojo General Hospital, situated on 6.5 hectares along the Lagos-Badagry corridor, is designed as a 280-bed facility. The project, a key healthcare initiative of the Sanwo-Olu administration, aims to bridge the medical infrastructure gap in the district.<\/p>\n

According to the governor, the hospital will feature a delivery theatre, pharmacy, oncology, gynaecology, accident and emergency unit, intensive care unit, surgical wards, dialysis centre, administrative offices, and an outpatient department. Additionally, four blocks of doctors\u2019 residences will be built to provide accommodation for healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

Supporting infrastructure for the hospital will include a morgue, central laboratory, equipment storage, laundry, a bank, an engineering department, and ample parking space. Once completed, the Ojo General Hospital will be the largest healthcare facility in the district, complementing existing primary and secondary healthcare centres.<\/p>\n

In a related development, Governor Sanwo-Olu also inaugurated the construction of the Platinum Shopping Complex along LASU-Iyana Iba Road. The project, which will be executed in four phases, will consist of 27 blocks, each containing 30 shops, bringing the total to 1,500 shops.<\/p>\n
