In a continued effort to maintain environmental decorum and sanity in the metropolis, the Lagos State Taskforce carried out a strategic raid at Gowon Estate, 31 Road, part of Okunola Road, Wole Omooso, blessjar ,Idoani,resulting in the arrest of 17 individuals suspected of engaging in various criminal activities.<\/p>\n

During the operation, Taskforce officers uncovered a disturbing cache of illicit substances, including Colorado, Indian hemp, narcotic drugs, and other controlled substances. In addition, counterfeit currency in denominations of \u20a6200 and \u20a6500 was seized, further underscoring the severity of the criminal activities being perpetuated in the area.<\/p>\n

The Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele, reaffirmed the agency\u2019s commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements endangering the peace and serenity of the citizenry. He stated:
\n\u201cThis operation reflects our zero-tolerance policy against illegal activities that threaten the peace and security of our communities. The suspects will face the full weight of the law as investigations continue. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to authorities using our \u2018See Something, Say Something\u2019 initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Lagos State Taskforce under the leadership of CSP Adetayo Akerele, remains committed to fostering a safe and secure environment for all citizens. The Taskforce urges the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement to ensure a crime-free society.<\/p>\n

The operation is the third in the series of activities of the Agency to completely stamp out use of illicit substances and hooliganism in the areas<\/p>\n
