Eid-el-Fitr: APC Chieftain Ajose Urges Sustained Good Deeds, Prayers for National Peace
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has congratulated Muslims in the country as they join their counterparts around the world to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
The Eid marks the climax after the successful completion of the thirty-day, month-long Ramadan fast.
The gubernatorial aspirant, in a statement released in Lagos, urged the faithful to sustain the good deeds demonstrated during the Ramadan fast, noting that such acts would earn them bountiful rewards from Allah for strict adherence to His injunctions.
He also called on them to use the occasion to pray to Allah for the return of permanent peace in areas currently facing security challenges across the country.
According to him, it is only when the country is peaceful that the people can genuinely think about how to contribute their quota to its socio-economic development.
Dr. Ajose reminded the faithful to celebrate with moderation and to remember the victims and families of those who lost their lives in the recent suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The Badagry-born politician also appealed to Nigerians to rally round the President in the quest to deliver the dividends of democracy through the implementation of ongoing economic reforms.
