The topic was “Truthfulness and Integrity in Corrupt Societies: Islamic Solutions.”
The Guest Lecturer, the Imam of Daaru Naim, Sheikh Imran Abdul Majeed Eleha, stressed the need for the Muslim Ummah to live exemplary lives and serve as ambassadors of Islam wherever they find themselves.

He was of the view that every Muslim must shun corruption in totality, adding that one of the major causes of the country’s challenges is years of high-level corruption.
On his part, the President of the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni, Dr. Abdulmumin Alao, urged Muslims to regularly remain conscious of happenings in their environment and swiftly act on information in order to benefit from various programmes of the state government.

He also informed the gathering that the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, will be the Chairman of the forthcoming 31st UMA Pre-Ramadan Lecture, slated for Sunday, 15th February 2026, at the J.F. Ade Ajayi Main Auditorium, University of Lagos, Akoka.
The Keynote Speaker is the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, while the Chief Host is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Folashade Ogunsola.

The Guest Lecturers at the UMA Pre-Ramadan Lecture are Prof. Is-haq Oloyede and Dr. Ridwan Jamiu.
The theme is “The Light Beyond: Guiding Our Souls to Paradise.”
