‎An Islamic human rights organization, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has declared that terrorists attacking Nigerians are foreigners whose ideologies contradict the golden ideals and values of Islam.

‎This was stated in a press statement issued on Saturday, 22nd November, 2025 by the Executive Director of the group, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

‎The full statement reads:

‎”We have come across a video clip showing terrorists in one of their devilish attacks. The place appears to be a newly deserted poor community but the attackers who were in large number spoke no Nigerian language. They spoke no Hausa, no Kanuri or any Nigerian tongue.

‎”The leader issued commands to his foot soldiers in Arabic language but his Arabic was neither classical nor standard. Neither did his Arabic sound like anywhere near that of Northern Nigeria. It sounded more like Chadian or Sudanese Arabic.

*‎”On the basis of this observation, we are inclined to assume, ceteris paribus, that the terrorists attacking Nigerians, or at least a large majority of them, are mainly foreigners.*

*‎”Once again, MURIC reiterates its condemnation of terrorists and their criminal, nefarious and diabolical activities. It is paradoxical that these terrorists have adopted ‘Allahu Akbar’ as their slogan but their atrocities contradict the peaceful tenets of Islam.*

‎”For whereas Islam teaches kindness and tenderness towards women, children and other vulnerable persons, terrorists kill, kidnap and traumatise them.

Again, whereas Islam places premium value on human life, forbids the killing of fellowmen and compares the taking of a single human life to the killing of the whole of mankind (Qur’an 5:32), terrorists kill their fellowmen at will.

We are therefore left with no other conclusion than to declare that these terrorists are being sponsored by a powerful anti-Islam forces (or countries) with the sole purpose of destroying the image of Islam.

‎”Placed parri passu with our assumption above, the conspiracy theories regarding the origin and sponsorship of known terrorist groups lend credence to the idea of an international network bent on framing Islam and its practitioners.

*‎”MURIC urges Nigerians to stand firm with their country and their government. Terrorists are killing both Christians and Muslims. We are all victims. We must kill the killers, not the victims.*

‎”What we must also do as level-headed Nigerians is to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigeria’s gallant security agents to flush out these marauders from our land. Muslims and Christians must join hands in the fight against terrorists.”
