Continuous Drainage, Canal Carting Exercise Reaches Oseni Maiyegun, Badaru, Lawal & Balogun Streets in Eti-Osa

The ongoing environmental sanitation and flood-prevention campaign by the Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo’ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, has progressed to additional inner streets within the community as drainage desilting and carting-away activities intensify.

The latest phase of the exercise has reached Oseni Maiyegun Street, Badaru Street, Lawal Street, and Balogun Street, where sanitation workers are currently clearing silt, debris, and waste obstructing free water flow. The operation is aimed at improving drainage efficiency, enhancing environmental cleanliness, and reducing the risk of flooding—particularly during the rainy season.

According to the council, the project aligns with the Chairman’s HEYIGA agenda and remains an ongoing initiative. The exercise is being executed systematically, moving from one street to another, and will continue until all critical locations across Eti-Osa are fully covered.

Residents have been encouraged to complement the government’s efforts by adopting proper waste disposal practices and maintaining cleanliness around their homes and business premises.
