NASFAT CELEBRATES MAYOR ZOHRAN MAMDANI ON HISTORIC ELECTION AS FIRST MUSLIM MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY
The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), a leading global Muslim faith-based organization with over 360 locations worldwide, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Mayor Zohran Mamdani on his historic victory in the November 2025 elections in the United States of America, which saw him emerge as the first Muslim Mayor of New York City.
In a statement released by the Society’s headquarters, NASFAT described Mayor Mamdani’s election as a landmark achievement, reflecting resilience, excellence, and the triumph of diversity and inclusion in a dynamic democracy. The organization noted that his victory symbolizes hope, determination, and the limitless possibilities that faith and dedication can bring.
President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, commended Mayor Mamdani for his unwavering commitment to public service, describing him as “a courageous, principled, and visionary leader who embodies the ideals of justice, equality, and progress.” He stated that the historic win serves as inspiration to millions of Muslims around the world who strive to contribute positively to their societies.
Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, in his goodwill message, prayed for the newly elected Mayor’s success in office, asking Almighty Allah to endow him with divine wisdom, compassion, and guidance to lead effectively and justly.
Imam Onike further admonished Muslims globally to emulate Mayor Mamdani’s resilience and commitment to societal development, emphasizing that Islam encourages participation, service, and integrity in leadership.
