LSPWC Partners Egbe-Idimu LCDA On Road Rehabilitation
The Lagos state publics work corporation in partnership with Egbe-Idimu local council development authority is set to embark on rehabilitation of strategic roads to enhance the movement of persons, goods and services within the LCDA.
Starting with Phidel college Road and market Road, the partnership, which is an initiative of the Egbe-Idimu LCDA shall be kick started by cleaning of drains from Saturday 30th August 2025 followed by Civil engineering works featuring removal of obstructing structures, earthworks, base preparation and laying of interlocking paving stones.
Phidel College road is a strategic road that connect Lasu-Iba expressway and Segun Irefin Street. It also serves as a link to pipeline road within the environ in Isheri Egbe-Idimu LCDA.
The road has a length of 350mwith an average width of 8.5m.
During the construction of Phildel Road, motorist/commuters can pass through Ikufisile street, Segun Irefin and Pipline Road into Lasu-Iba expressway and Egeda-Idimu Road respectively.
Similarly, Market Road is a strategic road that connect Lasu-Iba expressway, Oladun Street and council Bustop. It also serves as a link to princess Abiola Road within environs in Egbe-Idimu LCDA. The road has a length of 190m with an average width of 8m.
During the construction of Market Road, motorist/commuters can pass through Oladun Street, Odogbolu Street and princess Abiola Street into Lasu-Iba expressway and Ikotun-Idimu Road respectively.
Upon completion the rehabilitation work, shall aid traffic flow as the two roads shall serve as strategic by-passes in that corridor, abate the perennial flooding and erosion within the community, boost trade, commerce and investment opportunities, and generally improve socio-economic activities in the axis.
The work is expected to be completed within three months.
